Founded in 1991, the independent, private Ross School educates children from kindergarten through 12th grade. The campus consists of 63 beautiful acres and offers both boarding and day school options for its students.

Lower School - Nursery through Grade 4

Ross’s Lower School students enjoy being a part of a loving and welcoming community where they are encouraged to explore their interests and foster their creativity. The school places tremendous importance on the education of the “whole child,” teaching life skills and conflict resolution along with typical core subjects.
The Nursery and Early Childhood programs are available on two, three, or five days, providing a safe and nurturing environment for young students to transition to the routine of a school day. These young students enjoy hands-on learning opportunities in addition to classes in the performing arts, visual arts, science, music, library, and wellness. Early Childhood students are matched with an older student who serves as their mentor.
Elementary-aged students begin learning in the unique Ross Model, a unique curriculum that emphasizes the importance of a “dedication to mind, body, and spirit.” Cultural History is taught chronologically, using current events to examine world history through a modern lens.

Part of New York City’s famed Avenues World School network, this elite private school serves students in grades 1 through 12. After opening in 2020 to navigate the difficulties created by the COVID-19 pandemic, Avenues Hamptons Studio received so much interest in their hybrid online/in-person model that they decided to make their East Hampton location permanent.

An Avenues education is unparalleled, offering foreign language immersion, an emphasis on creative thinking, and plenty of opportunities to get involved with sports and extracurriculars. Students can choose to stop by the physical hub located in East Hampton for various class events, meetings with teachers and mentors, and group project work; for the rest of the time, students can attend online courses. HAYGROUND SCHOOL (Bridgehampton)

This small private school educates children from preschool through 8th grade, providing a uniquely individualized approach where students experience hands-on classwork under the guidance of a mentor. The gorgeous 13-acre farmland campus offers several unique features like a Shakespeare & Company Artist in Residency program, a Culinary Arts program, and an educational system that groups students in mixed-age groups.

Students as young as three can attend Hayground, solidifying skills in language, numbers, art, and nature, as well as socialized play. Starting at age six, students begin to mentor younger children while embarking on an individualized learning experience. During their final two years at Hayground, children aged 12 and 13 work on a Senior Learner essay, complete an Apprenticeship at a local business and complete a year-long project on the topic of their choice.
